The beautiful seaside town which is amphitheatrically built is the largest city and capital of the municipality. The neoclassical mansions of the area are indicative of the glory of the past. There is also the islet of Kranai (Marathonisi), where we can find the lighthouse and the traditional tower of Tzanetakis Grigorakis, which today houses the Museum of Mani.
